What is Software Testing?

Software testing is an essential process in software development that involves evaluating the quality and performance of software applications to identify defects, errors, and other issues. The goal of software testing is to ensure that the software meets the functional and non-functional requirements, is user-friendly, and performs well under various conditions. There are various types of software testing techniques, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, acceptance testing, and regression testing, among others.

Effective software testing can help identify defects and bugs early in the development process, which can save time and money in the long run by reducing the risk of costly rework or product recalls. It can also help improve the user experience and customer satisfaction by ensuring that the software meets their needs and expectations. In addition, software testing can help improve the overall quality and reliability of software applications, which can increase the trust and confidence of stakeholders, including customers, investors, and regulators. As such, software testing is an integral part of software development and is critical to the success of any software project.
